Arrived ; Ringarooma, from Lyttelton; Alhambra, from Bluff. Sailed : Taranaki. Passengers for V elliugton— Mr. and Mrs. w illiams. The s.s. Wanaka, from the South, arrived here yesterday at 3.15 p.ra. She left Port Chalmers at 2 p.m. on Monday, and arrived in Lyttelton next day at 9 a.m.; sailed at 8 o’clock same evening, and arrived here as above stated. Experienced light head winds from Port Cha’mers to arrival, thence strong N.W. wind, with heavy sea across the Strait. The Wanaka will sail for Auckland, via the East Coast, to-day. The s.s. Kiwi sailed for Napier and East Coast at 5 30 p.m. yesterday. _ The s.s. Wellington left Nelson at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, arrived at Picton at 4.30 a.m. yesterday, left again half an hour afterwards, and arrived here at 11 a.m. The Wellington sailed for Picton and Nelson last evening. The St. Hilda left for Southern ports at 1 p.m. yesterday. . _ . . The s.s. Rotorua, from Sydney via Napier and Auckland, is expected to arrive here to-morrow morning. The s.s. Jane Douglas left Foxton at 10.45 a.m. yesterday, crossed the bar at 11.30 a.m., had fine weather with smooth water down, and arrived here at 10.30 o'clock last night. The Jane Douglas will sail for Foxton this evening. The Taiaroa, from the Mamikau, Taranaki, and Nelson, is expected to arrive here to-day. The brigantine Seagull arrived here, after a good run from the Bluff, yesterday afternoon, with a cargo of timber. She left the Bluff on Saturday last, and carried southerly winds up to Tuesday, then strong N.W. wind to arrival. The s.s. Stormbird arrived here at noon yesterday from Wanganui. She left thereat 11p.m. the previous day, with the schooner Awaroa in tow, bou d for Nelson ; crossed the bar at midnight, and arrived here as above stated.. The Stormbird will sail for Wanganui to-day.
