DUNCAN has received instructions from the owners to sell by public auction, at his rooms, Panama-street, on Thursday, 21st instant, at noon— The " topsail schooner Clio, 81 tons register, with sails, anchors, gear, and equipments, &c., &c. The Clio was built at Auckland in 1871, and has proved herself a fast sailer, in addition to her large carrying capacity. DUNCAN is instructed by Henry Bunny, Esq., M.H.E., to sell at his salerooms, Panama-street, Wellington, on Thursday, 21st February, at 12 o’clock precisely— -40 sections of the finest and riche.st agricultural land of five acres each, portion of which is covered with useful and valuable timber. This really desirable property is about a mile and a-half from the railway station at Featherston, and is on the main trunk line of road from Wellington to the extensive and beautiful lower valley of the great Wairarapa Plains. In a very few months the Railway line will be opened to Featherston, bringing these properties within an easy four hours’ distance of the capital of the colony. Plans are now ready for distribution. The Auctioneer confidently and earnestly advises all persons to inspect these valuable allotments of land before the day of sale. The Railway passes through part of the section close to the station, as shown on plans now on view at the salerooms of the Auctioneer. Every section on the ground is divided by pegs properly numbered by a licensed surveyor.
