DUNCAN has received instructions from the owners to sell by public auction, at his rooms, Panama street, on Thurtlay, 21st instant, at noon— The topsail schooner Clio, 81 tons register, with sails, anchors, gear, and equipments, &c., &c. The Clio was built at Auckland in 1871, and has proved herself a fast sailer, in addition to her large carrying capacity. She took a prize in the Coasters’ Race at the Wellington Regatta of January, 1877. For further particulars apply to the Captain on board, or to R. J. DUNCAN, Auctioneer. THURSDAY, 21st FEBRUARY. MR. E. J. DUNCAN will offer for positive sale, without any reserve, the following sections of land ; Nos. 348, 349, 352, all adjoining each other, in the Pahautanui District. The newroad laid off by the Government passes right through the sections. As for quality of land, it cannot be surpassed in the district. To make the terms easy, one third cash, and bills at 4 and 8 months (no interest added), will be accepted. To be followed by 80 acres in the Horokiwi Yalley, which will also be sold without reserve on terms of the above. DUNCAN is instructed by Henry Bunny, Esq., M.H.8., to sell at his salerooms, Panama-street, Wellington, on Thursday, 21st February, at 12 o’clock precisely— -40 sections of the finest and richest agricultural land of five acres each, portion of which is covered with useful and valuable timber. This really desirable property is about a mile and a-half from the railway station at Featherston, and is on the main trunk line of road from Wellington to the extensive and beautiful lower valley of the great Wairarapa Plains. In a very few months the Eailway line will be opened to Featherston, bringing these properties 'within an easy four hours’ distance of the capital of the colony. Plans are now ready for distribution. The Auctioneer confidently and earnestly advises all persons to inspect these valuable allotments of land before the day of sale. There perhaps may never again occur so highly favorable an opportunity of acquiring land in a district whose value is daily increasing the more it becomes known. Terms are—One-fourth cash deposit; balance by bills at 4,8, and 12 months, with 8 per cent, interest added thereto. THUE3DAY, 28th FEBRUARY. MB. B. J. The Eailway passes through part of the section close to the station, as shown on plans now on view at the salerooms of the Auctioneer. Every section on the ground is divided by pegs properly numbered by a licensed surveyor. We are always in receipt of the latest advices from the principal towns in the colony, and also throughout Australasia, and will gladly afford information to those who confide their produce to our care.
