For Australia —Mrs’ ami Master Dearbone. Mr. Hare and wife, Messrs. Moxham, Brett, Murray. Dr. and Mrs. Britten, Rev. Mr. Moore, Mr. Rebel, Mr. Felt and wife; 20 steerage. Sailed: Hinemoa, for Wellington; Taranaki, for South. The St. iulda left Lyttelton at f> p.m. on Wednesday. and arrived here at 3.30 p.m. yesterday. She will sail for Wanganui to-day. . , , The s. a. Star of the Smith arrived in harbor at 5 am. yesterday from Southern ports. She sails for Southern ports this afternoon. The s.s. Ringarooma, from Melbourne via the South, arrived lu-re at 0a m. yesterday. She left Sandridge railway pier at 1 p.m. on the sth inst. with the Suez mail, transhipped ex s.s. Bangalore, 400 tons cargo and SO passengers for New Zealand ports. We are Indebted to Mr. Chatfield. purser, for files and report. The Ringarooma leaves for Nelson this afternoon at 5 o’clock. The s.s. Grafton arrived here at 5 p.m. yesterday from Lyttelton, with 150 tons cargo, 50 of which is for this port, and the remainder for the West Coast. She left Lvtrelton at 9p.m. on Thursday, and had light easterly winds up. The Grafton will leave for Kelson, We*toort. and Greymouth at noon to-day. , Toe steamers Tui for Foxton and Jane Doug'asfor Foxton and Knngitikei. sailed between 1 and .3 o’clock ye-derdav afternoon, with cargo and passengers. The steamers Easby and Taiaroa,.from the South, will arrive here to-day. The former will leave for Sydney at U a.m. to-morrow, and the latter will go North to Nelson, Taranaki, and the Manukau at 8 o’clock this evening. The s.s. Taupo, for Auckland and East Coast porta, sailed at noon yesterday. The schooners Rose of Eden for Picton and Xelson for V*'aitapu sailed yesterday. The ship Renfrewshire, from London via Napier, arrived here on Wednesday evening. She brought out immigrants and 300 tons cargo to the latter port, tho trip occupying 97 days. Five deaths, all children, amongst the passengers occurred, and as a case of scarlet fever was on board the ship when she arrived at Napier, she was quarantined for several weeks. She left Napier on the sth instant, and next day encounteied heavy weather from the southward, which drove her back round the Kidnappers. Afterwards had light winds till nearing Cape PalJiser, where a heavy north-west gale was encountered, which lasted till Thursday morning, when tho wind shifted to the southward,and brought her into port as above stated She was entered at the Customs yesterday afternoon, and will commence discharging to* day. The p.s. Manawatu left Wanganui at 7.30 a.m. on Thursday, crossed the bar at 8.30 a.m., and arrived her-i at 11.30 same night. The Manawatu will sail for Wang mid to-day.
