Public Works Office, Wellington, 6th February, 1878. WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office until NOON on MONDAY, the 22nd JULY, 1878, for the above contract. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside “Tender for Rails and Fastenings.” Plans and specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, and Wellington, and at Railway Manager’s Office, Napier, Chief Surveyor’s Office, Nelson. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any telegraph office by Noon of the same date, provided that written tender's in due form are lodged at any of the above-named offices by the same hour, and accompanied by a cheque on some bank in the town where the tender is lodged ; such cheque to be specially marked by a banker as good for 21 days, and to be in favor of the Receiver-General’s deposit account only, and not to bearer or order. TENDERS are invited for the CONSTRUCTION of the FIRST and SECOND SECTIONS of the SOUTHERN EXTENSION, from Warwick to Stanthorpe, in length respectively 20 miles 28'19 chains, and 20 miles 41'CO chains, in accordance with plans, sections, drawings, general conditions, and specifications, which may be seen at the office of the Chief Engineer, Brisbane, on and after MONDAY, the 4th of MARCH next, where also forms of tender and other information can be obtained. Separate tenders, to. be endorsed “ Tender for First or Second Section, Southern Extension, Warwick to Stanthorpe,” must be deposited at the office of the Commissioner for Railways, at Brisbane, not later than four o’clock p.m. on FRIDAY, the 12th day of APRIL, 1878. The freehold property consists of all that piece or parcel of land, containing one rood (more or less) situate at the corner of Wilson and Ridgway streets, and opposite the Wanganui Town Railway Station, upon which are erected the brewery premises. Title under Laud Transfer Act. The plant and rolling stock consist of every requisite pertaining to the brewery, and are in first-class working order and condition. Tenders will be received by the Liquidators for the above in one lot, and each tender must be accompanied by a cheque for 10 per cent, of amount of tender, as a guarantee to complete the purchase, but the Liquidators do not bind themselves to accept the highest or any tender. The Manager at the brewery will show the property, plant, and rolling stock to any intending purchaser, from whom also conditions of sale, and full particulars concerning the brewery plant, &c., Ac., can be obtained. Tenders to be addressed to the Liquidators of the Wanganui and Rangitikei Company (Limited), Wanganui. — CUTTER DIDO. TENDERS will be received by the undersigned until four o'clock on TUESDAY, the 15th INST., for the Purchase of the Hull of the Cutter Dido, as she now lies at Franzen’s Wharf, Nelson, together with two anchors, with first-class cables complete ; also, sails, lines, and sundries now in Franzen’s store.
