Boyle then drove him for 2, and 40 went up. Bannerman was now playing splendidly, disposing of Lynch’s trundling with tho greatest ease. Woods then took the ball from Buck and, whose four overs produced 15 runs. The Auckland fielding provoked general admiration. Boyle got a single, and then the play was slow, Lynch being dead on, and Wood bowling well. When an adjournment took placo to lunch Lynch had bowled six maidens in succession, and Wood four overs for 1 run. Score, 44.
