The following are the duties collected at the Customs on Saturday;—

Tne following are the amounts of Customs’duties collected at tho port of ‘Wellington during the week ending 31st of January :

A large amount of imported goods has been added to our stocks during the past week ex Rialto and Arabv Maid, as will be seen by the return of duties received a the Custom House ; but we hear of no sales beyond the ordinary trade demand. Business has been dull,’and prices, alfiiough nominally without change from our last report, are low and greatly in favor of buyers. Brandies are firmer, and .*how a small advance. Hennery’s and Martell'a case being quoted at 345. and bulk do 9s 6d to 10s per gallon. Bottled ales and stouts of best brand* are also in better inquiry. In colonial produce, salt butter shows some improvement, and prime cure of unexceptionable quality ha* changed hands at Sjd to 9d per lb; second class is difficult of sale at 7d. Bacon and hams dull at S|d per lb for new season's cure. Cheese firm at Ssd to 9d for prime Canterbury Flour: Stocks of Southern mills meet with sales reported at £l3 10s to £l3 17s 6d per ton ; holders quote £l4 for guaranteed samples. Oats in moderate demand at 4s to 4s 3d per bushel.
