Napier left Blenheim at noon yesterday, and arrived here at 7.30 p.ra. It is expected she will leave azain for Blenheim this evening. The Maiden City, schooner, with timber from Pelorus Sound, arrived in port yest- rday morning. The barque Carlota arrived in port flora Newcastle yesterday morning. She left there on the 11th inst., and had moderate weather to making Cape Farewell on the 22nd instant; thence strong head winds principally to making this port. • v " r f - f -'-'t l The Wallace lor Nelson and West Coast ports, ami Manawatu for Wanganui, and Kiwi for Castlepoint and Napier, are appointed to sail to day. ~ The s.s. Alhambra, bound for Nelson and the West Coast, sailed at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon. The schooner Nelson, from Waitapu with timber, reached port yesterday- . __ The Spray, schooner, got Into port from Wanganui, with wo j, »• ester ? ay morning. The Hawea, from Auckland via the East Coast, will arrive here this morning. She will sail for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The sriiing of the Rangatira for Napier and ! overty Bay has been postponed till to-day at noon. The s.s. Grafton is now undergoing some repairs. Her foreinast, which was broke in halves, is being spliced, and the deck-house aft cut short, to admit of a skylight being constructed for the purpose of lighting the cabin.
