THE PERAMBULATOR NUISANCE.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sin, —Can you inform me :md other pedestrians if it is lawful to wheel perambulators on the footways. If so, is there any regulation as to the width of such vehicles ? and are they compelled to observe the “rule of the road" 1 Are bycicliats allowed to ride on the footways ? and if so, is there any regulation as to speed ? I ask this last question because myself and some friends are getting up a bycicle race, and it would be awfully jolly to have it on Lamb ton-quay in the afternoon, when it is thronged with ladies and children and nursemaids with perambulators. The other day I encountered three perambulators abreast; and as the juvenile propellers' did not seem inclined to give way, I stepped into the water-channel to save a favorite corn.—l am, &c., A- Pedestrian.
