Thk Regatta' to-morrow, provided only the weather, is propitious, promises to be one "of the most successful affairs of the kind ever' held here. On board the Hurunui, which is.to be the flagship on this occasion,'great preparations have been made for the accommpdation of the public,-to' whom all parts of' the vessel except the forecastle, which is reserved for the judges, will be open, A stewardess will be in attendance," so that the convenience of the gentler sex will be consulted. ; The arrangements which are being made for the catering are such.as to ensure success in this important department, and the committee and the energetic secretary are sparing no efforts to make everything pass off creditably on the eventful day. Every race will finish between the wharf and the flagship, and with the exception of some of the rowing contests all will start from alongside the Hurunui, Which will doubtless therefore be the centre of attraction.
