THE WATERWORKS CONTRACT.
The following letter has been addressed by Mr. Blackett, the Consulting Engineer for the Waterworks, to the Town Clerk Public Works Office, Wellington, January 17, 1878.- - Sib, — In reply to your letter of the 10th inat., re Wellington Waterworks extension, contract,* I have the honor to state that since receiving the above I have paid a short visit to the works, and find them progressing and in such a state that it is reasonable to expect that water might bo stored in the now reservoir, say, next week. , ■ * > ; f .
