AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN CRICKET MATCH.
BY TKLKGItABH. Invercargill, Thursday. The match was resumed at noon, G. Bannerman and Horan conti ming the innings. Bannerman batted splendidly all through, carrying his bat out for a score of 128, giving no chance. Horau made a rapid 53 in firstclass style, but was 6nally caught out. Garrett followed, and added 4, and was then ru» out. Murdoch, who was the next man. was caught by third man after getting into double figures. Blackham followed, meeting a similar fate for a score of 6- Spolforth was clean bowled by Morrison without scoring. Gregory was caught out after getting a double. Boyle likewise was caught, only having added 3. Bailey made a quick 22 by good play, but was eventually caught. Kendall, the last man, was clean bowled for 6. Total, with extras, 267. The Invercargill team were quickly disposed of in their second innings, all the wickets falling for 39 runs in an hour and a half, and the stumps were drawn at 5.15. The weather was more favorable to-day, and there was a good attendance. .The exhibition of cricket by the Eleven exceeded expectations.
