A ‘Gazette, issued yesterday, announces the dispensing with the services of several hundred classified officers, including all the County Court Judges, Police Magistrates, Engineer-in-Ghief, Railway Engineer, permanent heads of the Lands, Public Works, and Customs departments. Public opinion strongly condemns the action of the Government. Great indignation prevails. Sydney, Wednesday.
