Lord Carnarvon, in replying to a question as to the policy of the Government, declared that circumstances had not materially changed since Lord Derby’s speech in November. It is reported that the Fenian prisoners will shortly be released. AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Sydney, Saturday. The revenue of New South Wales last year was £5,751,578, being an inciease of £7l-1,216. The Victorian revenue was £4,512,261, an increase of £49,998. The Queensland revenue for the half-year was £828,615, an increase of £128,202.
