Captain Bezer, of the schooner Friendship, informs us (Otago Times) that when last at'the Macqiiarrie Islands he observed the remains of extensive settlements on both the east and west coasts, together with a number of \yelibent graves, one of them having a wooden slab at the bead bearing the inscription “ William Buckley, died 1830,”
