Arrived : Iron Queen, from London, after a protracted passage of 110 days. She experienced line weather. Sau.k.u: City of New York, tor Sydney, at 12.20 a.m.; Hero, for Sydney, yesterday ; Wanaka, yesterday. Passengers for Wellington—Messrs, Stack, Ives, and Dinonville. POUT CHALMERS, Saturday. Arbiter: Brig Ludwig, with a cargo of tea from Foochow, via Yokohama.-Ship Canterbury, from Glasgow, with immigrants. She has sickness on board.—Barque Wild Wave, from Hobarton. •■Sunday. The ship Canterbury has 279 immigrants and 20 saloon passengers. She left Glasgow on the 28th September. In latitude 4Gdeg. south, longitude 102 dog. east, she sighted seven large icebergs. She has two cases of typhoid fever on board. One very severe case made its appearance twelve days eg ■; ■ liree deaths occurred during the voyage, one adult ana two children. LYTTELTON, Sunday, Sailed ; Ship Bangitikei, for London, with a cargo of wool, wheat, and tallow, valued at £91,000.' The s.s. Rangatira sailed for Napier and Poverty Bay on Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The strong southerly gale of Saturday prevented the Tui sailing for Foxton till yesterday morning. Tire Jane Douglas with a large number of passengers. arrived in port from soxton yester'ay. She left there the previous afternoon, and had strong head wind down. The Jane Douglas will leave for Foxton to-flav, Tiic 5.3. Wellington arrived in port from Lyttelton, at 12.J0 p.m. yesterday. She left there at 8.30 p.m, the previous day. and experienced light southerly wind up. The Wellington will make a trip to Nelson this evening. The s.s. Stormbird arrived in port from Wanganui at 8 o'clock yesterday morning, after a long and very rough trip kown. Tne schooners Josephine for Nelson and Julius Vogel tor Kaipara sailed yesterday. On Satuiday afternoon a three-masted schooner ran Into port before the southerly gale, and came to an anchor off Pipitea Point. She proved to be the Ellertnn, a rakish-looking craft, timber laden, from Wangapoa, Auckland, and bound to Lyttelton, having run in hero onlv through stress of weather Thu llerton is comparatively new, and was built in Auckland. When first constructed, she was intended lor a steamer, but the idea was never carried out, and she was rigged as a three-masted schooner. She left Wangapoa on Friday the 21st instant, with a S. W. wimi, and passed the East Cape next morning. On the 22nd experienced a strong southerly wind, and hart to pur, into Tologa Bay for shelter. On the 26th she started again with an N.E. breeze, and same day passed Portland Island. The wind thence continued to drop light, and when Cape Palliser was reached a calm was experienced, which continued till Friday lard, when a heavy southerly gale came on. with very thick rain, anil Captain Abrams, seeing that it was useless contending against such weather, squared away for tnis port for shelter, and arrived ort Saturday afternoon. The Ellcrton has 60,000 feet of timber on board. She was to resume her voyage early this morning. The barque Crownthorpe, after delivering her cargo from London in excellent condition, is now ready for sea. and has cleared out for Napier, where she will load for London. Thu ketch Elizabeth sailed for Havelock yesterday.

The 8.8. Alhambra arrived ‘in port from Melbourne, via the South, at 10,30 a.m. on Saturday. She left Sandridge Pier. Melbourne. at 1 a.m. on the 20th inst, cleared Port Phillip Heads at 4.85 a.m., passed Cape -Schanck at 6.30a.m.. Wilson's Promontory at 1.50 p.m. and the Snlamlers at 0.20 a.m. on the 25th. Reached the Bluff at 2 p.m. same day; left again at 0 p.m.. and made Fort Chalmers at 9.30 a.m. on the 26th ; left th«re at 1.30 p.m, on the 27th, and arrive I in Lyttelton at 9.15 a.m. on the 28th ; sailed again at 5.30 p.m. same day, and arrived hero as above. Experienced fine weather throughout. The Alhambra left for Melbourne, via the West Coast, on Saturday •veiling. '
