The Council invites application for the same. The salary is fixed at £6OO per annum. Eurther particulars may be obtained on applying at the Town Clerk’s Office. A Vacancy having occurred in the Town Clerkship of the City, the Council hereby invites applications from gentlemen competent to discharge the duties of this office as these are defined by The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876, and minutes and bylaws of the Council bearing upon the same. The Mayor will furnish any further information desired by candidates. The gentleman appointed to the office will require to enter into a bond with some approved Guarantee and Fidelity Company to the amount of £IOOO, and will be expected to commence his duties at the beginning of January, 1878.
