LICENSING COURT.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sir, —With reference to the application for a license for , the Tramway Hotel, I wish with your kind permission to make a few remarks. Mr. Moody applied for a license for the above hotel, giving me, in the event of securing a license, the management of_ the house. In consequence of such promise I went to some trouble in getting signatures to a petition towards securing that end. In the meantime Mr. Moody has made a sale to Mr. Dansdon conditionally on the former getting a license. In consequence of the above I have to inform those gentlemen who kindly signed the petition (for which I have to thank them) that I will not have the pleasure of managing the above house, as I am given to understand that Mr. Lansdon will conduct it himself in the event of a transfer.—l am, &c., Ohaiileh Brown. Wellington, December 3.
