They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, and marked outside “ Tender for the Supply and Delivery of Stores.” Each tender must be made on the printed form, aud must be accompanied by a price list and a cheque marked by a banker as good for twenty-one days, which must be made payable to the, ReceiverGeneral’s Deposit Account, Wellington, and not to bearer or order. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside “ Tender for Papatu Bridge Contract, Permanent Way.” Plans and specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Auckland, Wanganui, Christchurch, Foxtou, Wellington, Dunedin, Invercargill, the Survey Office, Nelson, and at the Post Office, Napier. WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office up to NOON on FRIDAY, the 30th NOVEMBER, 1877, for the Conveyance of Immigrants and Cargo from the United Kingdom to the Colony of New Zealand for twelve months. Tenders must be addressed to the Hon. Minister for Immigration, Wellington, and marked outside “ Tender for Conveyance of Immigrants and Cargo.” Conditions of contract and forms of tender may be obtained Rom the Under-Secretary for Immigration at Wellington ; from the Immigration Officers at Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin, or from the AgentGeneral in London. Separate tenders may be sent in for the Conveyance of Emigrants or Cargo, or both, ■from the Port of Glasgow only, subject, so far as they are applicable, to the conditions above referred to as intended for the more general service. WANTED, after Christmas vacation, as First Classical Master, a gentleman of University (Home) distinction, of certified experience, and of unblemished reputation. His duties will primarily involve the Kesqionsible Charge of the highest forms in Classics, French and English Literature, but he will also be required to take some important highclass work in Mathematics. The general duties of supervision being shared in rotation by all resident masters, press very lightly on each. The stipend is £250 per annum, with board (in Hall), and two rooms, which are supplied with certain standing furniture. Masters are not entitled to reside during Long (Christmas) Vacations. Each master finds his own personal outfit. Candidates are invited to apply, sending copies of certificates, on or before December 31 next ensuing, when, if no eligible person can be obtained in the colonies, the mastership will be kept open pending reference to the Home Universities.
