Arrived : Hawea, early, from Picton and Wellington.—The New Zealand Shipping Company’s ship Waitara, 89 days from Plymouth, with 270 immigrants and 5 saloon passengers. There was no sickness, births, or deaths during the voyage. The Waitara spoke the Crownthorpe. for Wellington, on September 22, in latitude 2 N., longitude 17 W. She was then 40 days ont. pGP.T CHALMERS, Thursday. Arrived; Halley Bailey, from Hobarton. Sailed: Acacia, barque, for Melbourne. AUCKLAND, Thursday. Sailed: Morrell, schooner, and Rowena, s.s., for Friendly Islands. LYTTELTON, Thursday, Sailed; Wakatipn, for South, at s.3op.m.—Easby, for Wellington, at 7.3o.—Torea and Prince Alfred, for Kaipara.—Acadia, for Napier and Auckland. H.M.S. Sappho left the harbor for Samoa yesterday forenoon under canvas. The s.s. Taupo left the harbor at noon yesterday for Napier, Gisborn*, Tauranga, and Auckland. The p.s. Manawatu sailed at 5.30 p.m. yesterday for Wanganui, with a full cargo. The Government have received a telegram from the Agent-General, dated 2nd inst.. stating that the Apelles had sailed with 248 immigrants for* Auckland- the Camara with 65 for the Bluff and 190 for Port Chalmers; and the Hereford with 336 for Canterbury. The Stormbird left Wanganui at 11 a.m. on Thursday, and arrived at 11 o’clock Inst night, after a smart passage of twelve hours from wharf to wharf. The Jane Douglas left Wellington at 7.30 on Monday, and arrived at the Foxton wharf at 9.50 on the following morning; left Foxton for Rangitikel at 7.30, and arrived at 10 a.m.; experienced fine weather; left Rangitikei on the 22nd inst. for Wellington at 9.45, and arrived at the wharf at 9 o’clock. The s s. Easby, from Sydney via the South, will arrive here to-day. She will leave for Newcastle direct to-morrow.
