CRICKET.
A cricket match between the combined Australian team and the Brisbane team was played on the 10th instant at Brisbane. A telegram to the Melbourne Daily Telegraph gives the following account of the match: — The attendance at the cricket match was very limited, which was attributed to the high charge for admission. The Governor and suite were present for three hours. The Queensland team won the toss, and went to the wickets first. They scored 58 in their first innings, of which Eagan made 22. The combined team then went in, and ma.de 149. In their second innings the Queensland men were disposed of for 68, of which Pelrie made 20, the combined team winning in one innings, with 23 ruus to spare. The following are the scores of the combined team:—
Bowling analysis.— First innings : Kendall, 86 balls, 32 runs, 8 maidens, and 13 wickets ; Allan, 28 balls, 2 runs, 6 maidens, 1 wicket; Boyle, 32 balls, 11 runs, 1 maiden, 1 wicket ; Spofforth, 2 wickets. Second innings ; Allan 152 balls, 16 runs, 26 maidens, and 10 wickets ; Kendall, 148 balls, 39 runs, 15 maidens, and 6 wickets.
