An alarming and destructive fire has occurred on tho premises of Mr. Thorne, herring curer, Church-lane, Hull. A large and wellstocked warehouse was completely destroyed. Later in the day it was discovered that the tower of the parish church, in course of restoration, and in proximity to the above warehouse, was also on fire. Some of the scaffolding had been ignited by the dying sparks from the, fire, hut the flames were extinguished before much damage was done.
