£74 10 4 The Rev. W. G. Thomas delivered forcible address on the duty of Christian liberality. He pointed out that it was the imperative duty of the strong to help the weak; that those who live in the centres of population, and whom God has blessed abundantly with material nrosperity, must not grudge to give of their abundance to assist in sending the Gospel to those who live in the regions beyond, and who because of their fewness are unable to support a minister of themselves. He concluded an earnest speech amid great applause. The Rev. Heteraka Wabihi addressed the meeting, Mr. Reid acting as interpreter. The °Rev. J. B. Richardson spoke very hopefully of the prospects of the Wairarapa Circuit, where he had been stationed for the last two years. Raster Neilson, who was warmly received by the meeting, gave a brief description of the difficulties he had experienced in connection with his work; hut rejoiced in proofs that “ the arm of the Lord is not shortened that he cannot save, nor his ear heavy that be cannot hear.”
