In pursuance of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1876, and the Local Elections Act, 1876, notice is hereby given that the ordinary election of Mayor for the Borough and City of Wellington will take place on WEDNESDAY, the 28th clay of NOVEMBER INSTANT, at the side-room of the Odd-Fellows’ Hall, Grey-street. Any person desirous of nominating a candidate must, before 12 o’clock NOON on SATURDAY, the 17th day of NOVEMBER INSTANT, deliver to the Returning Officer a nomination paper in the prescribed form, which must be signed by not less than three persons duly qualified to vote at such election, and also by the person named therein as Candidate, in token of his assent to being so nominated.
