The Hawke's Bay Herald' of Saturday laut says that the Native Minister has telegraphed to Mr. Yillers, of Petane, near Napier, in reference to the petition for a grant-in-aid for the erection of the Port Ahuriri bridge, that its construction “ may now be looked upon as a certainty whatever happens.” The work is one to which the inhabitants of Napier and the surrounding districts have long looked forward, and is much required.
