THE TIME-GUN.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. SIR, —In reading this morning's paper, and understanding the great difficulty the City Council is laboring under concerning the small time-gun to be erected on Mount Victoria, we think we may venture on a suggestion. Bullocks are plentiful in New Zealand (at least we think so), and having no doubt that with a strong team of these useful animals yoked together, with our gallant Artillery Volunteers and some of our distinguished City Councillors taking the lead, in all probability the time-gnn would reach its destination to the satisfaction of all concerned ; and wa think that our happy thought, if carried out, will not cost tho > ity Council the enormous sum of even the lowest tender. Trusting to be forgiven for taking up so much space in your valuable paper,—VVe are, &0.. Two Natural Curiosities. Wellington, October 26.
