A new and handsome church is being built at Christchurch for the Rev. Mr. Elmslie’s congregation, and is now nearly completed. The Rev. Mr. Paterson will take part in the opening service, which is shortly to take place (as Mr. Ehnslie did for him on a former occasion), and will probably be al>eent for about a fortnight, during which time arrangements have been made for the supply of his pulpitherq,
