LATEST CABLE NEWS.

Sydney, Saturday.

The Sydney Morning Herald’s special cablegram, dated London, 27th September, says 14,000 wounded Turks are lying at Plevna. Chefket Pasha is forming a fortified camp at Gurkhanie, with the view of keeping an open road from Plevna to Sophia, and organising another relief force for Plevna.

The mobilisation of the Servian array still continues, and 2,000,000 of francs for that purpose have been received from Russia.
