[The following telegram was received at the New Zkai-and Times oflice at three o'clock this morning]:— Bombay, September 25, 9.55. The rains in Bulgaria are retarding warlike operations. An unofficial report states that the Russian centre attacked Plevna, but were defeated with very heavy loss. The Russians had to fall back to the south of Jogdyi. London, September 2S, 6.30. Subscriptions in aid of the Famine Relief Fund, amounting to £270,000, have been remitted to India. Arrived : Rossiari. Sailed from Plymouth : Hankou, on the 24th ; Cuzco, on the 27th. iy .
