Auctions TUESDAY, 9th OCTOBER, 1877. PUBLIC SALE. TO SHIP OWNERS, MERCHANTS, AND OTHERS. Messrs, j. h. bethune & co. have been favored with instructions from the Wellington Patent Slip Company (Limited), to sell by public auction, at their salerooms, corner of Peatherston and Brandon streets, on Tuesday, the 9th October - , at 2 o’clock— THE HULL and MASTS or a VESSEL (at present unnamed), CONSTRUCTED AT THE COMPANY’S YARDS, EVANS BAY. The vessel is nearly 80 Tons Register,estimated to carry 150 tons dead weight. Length, 80 feet keel; Beam, 19 feet ; Depth of hold, 8 feet. Eraming, ironbark and blue gum ; planking, blue gum, secured with hardwood trenails ; lining, blue gum and kauri ; deck, kauri ; masts, kauri. She is copper-fastened, and built in strict accordance with Lloyd's Regulations for first-class vessels, and is suitable for a Brigantine or Topsail Schooner. The vessel will be sold on the stocks, the company undertaking to launch her free of expense and risk. The purchaser can proceed at once with the fitting-out.
