It is claimed for this wire that it is much stronger and tougher Ilian ordinary fencing wire, and is, in consequence, more durable. That No. 8 can be substituted for No. 6 at an equal coat; No. 10 for No. 8 at a less cost; aud so on to all the numbers used in fencing. An immense boon is thus conferred upon the consumer, who has to carry his wire inland. He may take ten tons of the patent prepared extra strong fencing wire, instead of fifteen tons of the ordinary iron wire, make a better fence, aud save in carriage from port to stations at least five tons in weight.
