A Turkish despatch states that the Russians were repulsed near Kudikoi, with a loss of 1000. A Russian despatch states that the Turks were expelled from Kudikoi with heavy loss, the Russians losing only 170. A Turkish despatch states that a Turkish army corps from Rasgrad is advancing upon Biela. A great battle is believed to be imminent.

Special correspondents say Sulieman Pasha virtually abandoned the attack upon Shipka Pass. The Servian militia are under marching orders. A public funeral was awarded Thiers.
