English Judges show a considerable advance over their brethren In Louisiana. One of these gentlemen astonished the Court the other day by stating that lie had a "verbal communication in his pocket," and did not secure the equanimity of the lawyers by angrily adjourning a case "sine die nntil next Thursday.” This reminds us of the Indian Judge who told counsel on one occasion that he could not have a sid process'd, but he might take an ipse dixit if he pleased.
