Left on the Sth. and encountered a very heavy S.W. gale and high seas from Ilth to 17th inst., when she, passed the Soianders-: then worked up the coast tack for tack against light N.E. winds and thick weather. Sailed : Aniwata, for the Bluff. AUCKLAND, Monday. Sailed : Hawea, for the South, at 11.30 a.m. Passengers for Wellington: Miss O’Shea, Messrs. Sweeny and Carrol—Yosemite, ship, for Newcastle. —Adonis, brigantine, for Brisbane.—Elizabeth, for Tonga.—Minnehaha, for Lyttelton. The Star of the Mersey has arrived at Hokianga. She will load with timber. .. . GREYMOUTH, Monday. Sailed ; The Adieu, for Melbourne, left yesterday. The three-masted schooner St. Hilda, which went ashore last week, is likely to become a complete wreck. Two of her masts went by the board last night. BLUFF, Monday. • Arriv d ; Ringarooma, from Melbourne. She left Sandridge on the 22nd at 6 p.m., and experienced light variable winds and line weather throughout. She brings 52 saloon and 35 steerage passengers, with 414 tons cargo, tor all ports. Passengers for Wellington : Miss Gibson, Mr. and Mrs. Fry and 3 children, Mr. and Mrs. Fllmer and child, Mr. and Mrs. Strnkley and 3 children ; 4 steerage ; 101 tons cargo. The s.s. ..Tui sailed for Foxton at 7 o’clock last evening. The steamers Napier and Lyttelton are expected to sail for Blenheim to-day. . The steamer Stormbird, from Napier, will arrive here to day. • The steamer Taupo. from Auckland via the East Coast, will arrive here to-day. The p.s. Manawatu sailed for Wanganui at 6 p.m. The barques Carlotta and Ceres were unable to get outside the Heads on Saturday. They were signalled yesterday as being at anchor there. The s.s. Tni left Lyttelton on Saturday evening, and Kaikoura at 3 p.m. on Sunday, and arrived here at 2 a.m, yesterday. She left for Foxton last evening. The s.s. Taranaki, from the. South, will arrive here to-day. She will leave for Auckland via the :East Coast to-morrow.
