The Lyttdton Times of the 15th instant states that Mr. Wheatley, a member of the Waitaki County Council, appeared before Justices Fenwick and Sumpter on August 8, on the information for using a free pass bn the railway, not being bona fide travelling to or from a meeting of the Board. ; The information was dismissed, as the prosecution failed to fix the date.
