SEALED TENDERS will be received at the General "Post Office, Wellington, until NOON of SATURDAY, the 25th instant, for the performance of a FOUR-WEEKLY STEAM SERVICE between FIJI and PORT CHALMERS, by way of Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton, for a period of two years. . ' The Service shall be performed in accordance with a time-table to be furnished by the Postmaster-General, which will provide fov connecting at Auckland with the steamers of the San Francisco mail service. ■ The Service shall commence on the arrival of the San Francisco mail steamer at Auckland, due on or about the sth of October next. Tenderers to state the names, tonnage, and horse-power of. the vessels to be employed in the service. .
