LYTTELTON, Monday. - Sailed ; Wakatipu, for Port Chalmers, at 3.30p.m. TIMARH, Monday. The three-masted schooner Annie Bow arrived yesterday, after a forty days’ passage from Newcastle. ' light contrary winds caused her detention. The schooner Zior, from Picton, arrived to-day. PORT CHALMERS, Tuesday. Sailed : Ringarooma, for the Bluff. We have to draw the attention of shippers to the fact that the St Hilda sails to-day at 3 o’clock, not Wednesday, as advertised in last night's papers. The p.s. Luna arrived in port at 5 a m. yesterday. She left Greymouth at 4.30 p.m on Friday last; but as it was found she was making water, put into Westport, and ran her on the hard, where it was found that the starting of two bolts in her bottom had caused the leak. The Luna will go on the Slip before she leaves for the Coast again. The s.s. Kiwi left Napier on Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock; called at Pourere, where a quantity of wool was shipped, and left again at 1 p.m. on Sunday. ami experienced a heavy N.W. gale, rounding Caps Palliser at 4 o'clock yesterday morning, and arriving here at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon. The Kiwi will probably return to Napier to-day. The s.s. Akaroa, which we mentioned in yesterday’s issue as coming here from Lyttelton to convey Dr. Rouse to that port, came into harbor at 1 a.m. yesterday. After coaling she proceeded to Lyttelton at 5.30 yesterday morning. The schooner Reward, from Picton, arrived in harbor lateon Sunday night. Messrs. Levin and Co. have received telegraphic advice that the ship Zealandia, from London, bound to Wellington, which put in to Rio de Janeiro to repair damages caused by a collision, will be detained there for about a fortnight only. The departure of the steamers Manawatu, for Wanganui, and Stormbird, for Napier, has been postponed till to-day owing to the inclement state of the weathei yesterday. The s.s, Tni left this port at a quarter to 7 last - evening for Kaikoura and Lyttelton. Succeeded in getting outside the Heads, when she was muzzled by a heavy S.E gale, with heavy sea and thick weather, which compelled her to come back to port. Warnings were issued yesterday to expect strong . southerly gales, and at 8 o’clock last night the anticipated “buster” came on at this port, accompanied with very heavy rain. It blew very hard during the night, besides being bitterly cold. ARRIVAL OF THE ENDYMION. The ship Endymion, Captain Richardson, 759 tons, sailing under the flag of Messrs. Shaw, Savill, and Co., arrived off the Heads yesterday afternoon, and succeeded in making inside the Heads with a N.W. wind. At S p.m. the wind suddenly went into the S.E. and blow a heavy gale. Several vessels ran into the port during the night, and no doubt the Endymion was amongst them, but the stormy weather prevented any communication with them. The Endymion ' comes consigned to Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull and Co., and brings the following passengers ;—Second cabin: Mr. and Mrs. McCritchan, Alfred Dyson. Steerage ; Mrs. Crawford, Mary Neale, E. Lansdown, L. Shaw. Messrs. Soul, Epps, Morgan, Oliver, and Crawford.
