TENDERS are invited from those desirous of leasing the Perry from the Eastern to the Western Spit for a term of five years. The' lessee will have to provide a steam launch to carry not less than twenty passengers. . . The ferryman will have to be in attendance from sunrise to sunset daily (Sundays included). Launch to run every half hour if required. The lessee to provide a suitable punt, capable of carrying over a team of bullocks and dray. The launch to have sufficient power to tow punt across when required. Specifications to be seen at the office of the Board’s Engineer, Napier, of whom full particulars can be obtained.
