A MEETING of the Burgesses of the City of Wellington—called by the Mayor, in terms of Section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1876, for the purpose of considering a proposal for the Reclamation of Te Aro Foreshore, and the propriety of borrowing a sum of £IOO,OOO, by way of special loan, for carrying out the said reclamation work—having been duly held on Monday, the 23rd day of July instant, and the proposal having received consideration and discussion at the aforesaid meeting— The Mayor hereby gives notice that a Poll will be taken for and against the said proposal, in the manner provided by The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876, on MONDAY, the 6th DAY of AUGUST NEXT, of which Poll further particulars will be published in due course by the Returning Officer.
