PORT CHALMERS, Wednesday. Sailed : Isle of Anglesey, for Newcastle. . The following have arrived at London:— Loch Tay, from Melbourne ; Marlborough, from Port Chalmers. ~r , tl . ~ The Union Company s s.s. Wakatipu, from the South, arrived in harbor at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. She left Port Chalmers at 3.30 a.m. on the 15th inst.; arrived at Lyttelton at 8.30 a.m. on the 16th; sailed again at 5.30 p.m. on the 17th, and arrived here as above mentioned. The Wakatipu sailed for Sydney direct at 1.15 p.m. yesterday. , A fleet of coastal vessels are detained in port by the absence of wind. , ,' . The steamer Murray, which left Nelson at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, did hot arrive in port till 4 a.m. yesterday, as she called at Bowden Bay and landed a family and their effects. The Murray’s departure for Nelson and West Coast ports has been postponed till to-day. The Albion, it is expected, will reach the harbor tonight from Melbourne via the West Coast. The p.s. Manawatu arrived in-port from Wanganui at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon. She left Wanganui at 2.30 a.m. on Sunday ; crossed the bar at 3 o'clock, and had light southerly wind down. The Manawatu will sail for Wanganui to-morrow. The barque Bobina Dunlop, from London, commenced discharging her cargo yesterday morning, and made good progress during the day. The p.s. Lyttelton left Blenheim at 10 a.m. yesterday ; crossed the bar at noon, and had light southerly wind with heavy sea across. The p.s. Luna arrived in harbor from Lyttelton yesterday afternoon at 5 o’clock. • She left there at 5 o’clock on Tuesday evening, and had fine weather with light southerly wind. She will sail for West Coast ports this forenoon. The s.s. Tui sailed for Foxton yesterday evening at 8 o’clock. ' The steamers Wanaka from Nelson and Picton, Taupo from South, and Hawea from North, will be in port this morning. The Taupo will sail for Auckland, via the East Coast, to-day, and the Hawea will return North.
