Messrs. Goldsworthy, Byrne. Mason- Wheelan, and Craige. H.M.S. Sappho, for Wellington ; Lovette Peacock, for Sydney; Letetia, for Lyttelton via Mercury Bay. The cutter Dante which left Onehunga twenty-two days ago for Waitar i. Is supposed to have been lost. A quantity of wreckage and candles known as portion of the Dante's cargo has been found on the coast between the Manukau and Raglan. The steamers Manawa u for Wanganui, and Tui and Kapler for Ff xton, were unable to leave port last alijiht owing to the strong southerly gale which sprung up at G p.m The Taranaki which sailed at 3.50 p„ra, for .South would have a heavy gale to contend against, and no doubt her passage to Lyttelton will b-i) a protracted one. The bri antine Enterprise is still in port unable to leave for Lyttelton, owing to the prevalence of southerly winds. The departure of the steamer Stormbird, for NVpler, has been postponed till to-day. The s.s, Ringaroouia 'ailed for Nelson at 2.15 p.m. yesterday. The ship Broomhali was entered at the Customs yesterday. She came alongside the wharf during the da/, and it is expected she will break bulk this morn.iiifl. The Southern Cross was taken upon the Patent Slip yesterday morning. She is expected to come off to-day. The s.s. St.Kilcla which steamed round there yesterday, will be taken up to-day. The s.s. Taranaki sailed for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers at 3.30 p.m. yesterday. The barque Wennington. is expected to finish discharging cargo this week. She will go from here to Newcastle, thence her destination is at present unknown. Pilot Jenkens, at Rangitikei. has written to the Collector of Customs informing him that he has picked up on the beach near Bull!! a piece of wreckage wish the letters RIMAC cut upon it. On looking ov ir Mi tell ell’s Register we find a vessel of that name, an 1 she is there stated to be a iron ship of 593 tons, -Scott, master, and owned by Messrs. Nicholson and McGill, of Liverpool. We have made enquiries, and Lave been unable to discover any vessel of that name 1 coming to the colony. • . .
