Tho schooner Crest of the AVavo, coal laden for Timarn, which was towed out to sea yesterday, returnod to port to-day making seventeon inches of water per hour. She will require to partly discharge her cargo before repairs can be effected.

The brig Kobin Hood, Captain Paton, from Newcastle, arrived here at 4 o'clock yesterday morning. Slie left there on tho 10th inst., and had S.W. wind for the first portion of the voyage, which subsequently hauled into tho southward, anil continued till making the land. The schooner Bonnie Lass has now to be set down amongst the long list of "missing" vessels. She was on a trip from Lyttelton to Nolson with a cargo of produce, and commenced her voyage on the 4th April last. Sho was seen next day in a gale ; but since then nothing has been heard of her. The Bonnie Lass was owned at Nelson by Mr. D. Gilbertson, and was in chargo of Captain Aitkon. "We understand she was uninsured. Tho a.s. Eingarooma, with tho Suez mail on board, is expected to arrive hero on Sunday morning. Thop.s. Manawatu sailed tor AVanganui at 6 p.m. yesterday. Tho s.s. Tui left Kaikoura at 10.10 a.m. yesterday, but had to put back owing to a strong N.E. wind. She will probably show up this morning. Sho will sail for Foxton in tho afternoon.

The schooner Cynthia left Pelorus Sound on Thursday, and arrived hero at 4 a.m. yesterday. The barquo Carlotta and brig Eobin Hood wore berthed at the wharf yesterday afternoon. The steamer Arawata sailed for Melbourne via tho South with tho outward Suez mail at 2.4 fl o'clock yesterday afternoon. Wo understand that tho steamer Stormbird will commence the first of her East Coast trading trips on Tuesday next. The Eangatira, which loaves to day for Napier, Is expected back on Tuesday, and will then bo laid up to receive tho new compound engines, full particulars of which wo have previoxisly published.

Tho ketches Elizabeth and Thames arrived here from Pelorus Sound yesterday, timber laden. A telegram received by tho Press Agency stated that tho N.Z.S. Company's ship Wanganui passed Otago Heads yesterday morning, bound to Lyttelton from London

The s.s. Eangatira wont round to tho Patent Slip yesterday morning, and came off again in the afternoon, after having tho propeller re-sliippcd on the shaft. She is expected to sail for Napier direct this afternoon.

The s.s. Eotorua will sail for Sydney, via Auckland and Napier, this afternoon. Tho steamer Easby was discharging her cargo of coal up to midnight last night, and sho proceeded to Newcastlo and Sydney at an early hour this morning. Tho iron barquo Primera is tho vessel which tho N.Z.S. Company intend placing on the berth hero as tho last wool ship of tho season in this port. She is at Lyttolton now discharging her London cargo, and is expected up here next week.
