Buyers : National Bank, 71s; Colonial. 44s 6d; National Insurance, 345; Loan and Mercantile, 100 s; Caledonian, £5 IDs; New. Zealand Insurance, 102 s. LONDON WOOL SALES. The Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report as follows, under date London, June 22: “The wool competition is increasing. Quotations on the average are a penny to three-halfpence better than at the opening. The principal advances have been in superior greasy, superior combing, and washed cross-bred combing. In washed the market is firmer; in scoured the market is unchanged. The sales close on the 26th inst. The competition by both home and foreign buyers is active. The tallow market is quiet. Mutton is 455.; beef, 41s. The wheat market Is flat, the weather being favorable for the crops here. Adelaide wheat is 6Ss ; New Zealand, 50a, The leather market is flat; best sides, IOJd.”
