Note. —Very wet unpleasant weather experienced almost throughout the month, although there were a few fine bright days : rain fall greatly in excess of average, the max. recorded on 80th 2'50 inches ; prevailing N.W. winds and stormy generally, especially, on Bth,- oth, 13th,_ 11th, and 25th ; on 29th rain commenced in morning fromN.W., changed to S.E., but light, bar. rising slightly, showery during day, bar. falling again, very threatening, and at 3.30 p.m. heavy rain commenced, and continued until 5 p m., 2 inches falling during the hour and a half, showery at night, but cleared off. The max. temperature in the shade 02*5; minimum, 35'0. Tidal disturbance on 11th. „ R. B. Gore.
