LEVEE AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE.
A largely attended levee was held at Government House by his Excellency at noon on the Queen's Birthday.
'Die following gentlemen had the right of private entree to the levee : Ministers, Chief Justice, Judges, Bishop Hadfield, Bishop Redwood, The Archdeacon, Members of the Legislative Council, Members of the House of Uepresentatives. the Under Secretaries (Messrs. Cooper, Fountain, Knowles, Giles. Hawmerton, Clarke, Seed, Gray and Haise), Colonel Moule, Major Heaphy, V.C., the French Consul, the German Consul, the Portuguese Consul, the Netherlands Consul, the United States Consul, the Belgian Consul, Resident Magistrate, Solicitor General, Crown Prosecutor. Clerk of Legislative Council, Clerk of Parliament, the Comptroller of Audit, -Surveyor General, l>r.
