PROPOSED TOWN HALL, MUNICIPAL OFFICES, MARKET BUILDINGS, AND CENTRAL FIRE BRIGADE STATION. The City Council of Dunedin are prepared to receiveDESIGNS for NEW MUNICIPAL ' BUILDINGS, proposed to be erected on the site fronting the Octagon and Moray-place respectively. I The designs to be delivered addressed to the Town Clerk, at the City Council Chambers, Dunedin, by NOON o£ the Ist DAY of JUNE, 1877. The premiums offei'ed are :—For the first approved design, £200; for the second, £100; and for the third, £SO. The first and second premiated designs to become the property of the Council. '. The Council does not bind itself to employ the successful competitor to carry out the works. Rule 5 says :—" If any shareholder fails to pay the amount of any call payable by him on or before the day appointed for the payment thereof, the said shareholder- shall pay to the Company, in addition to such call, the sum of 2s. per share as and by way of fine, and if he does not pay the call due, together with the fine, when the next call becomes due, he shall pay a further 2s. per. share, and so on 2s. per share per month on each call due and unpaid until the amount due in respect; of fines for non-payment of calls shall amount to 6s. per share; such sums of 2s. per share, though described as; fines, shall be recoverable by the Company as liquidated damages, and that whether the shares may have been forfeited or not."
