THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CITY.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW 2EALAND TIMES. Sin, —A certain plan for the improvement of this city was submitted to the City Council at one of its sittings some four week ago, and was at the time referred to the Public Works Committee to be reported on. The author, who has been to considerable trouble, and has incurred some expense in perfecting his scheme, is naturally anxious to know the result of the committee’s deliberations upon the subject. He has not, however, been able to ascertain anything, the Council not having deemed it necessary even to acknowledge its receipt. I have taken the liberty to apply to you, Mr. Editor, in the hope that you may be able and good enough to afford him some information. With many apologies for troubling you, I am, &c.. Progress. April IS.
