ISAACS, acting under instruction , as above, intends to offer BY PUBLIC AUCTION, At his mart, Lambton-quay, Wellington, on WEDNESDAY, the 18th APRIL NEXT, The whole of that well-known run, the DRY RIVER STATION, situated at Wharekaka, in the celebrated Wairarapa Plains, a portion of the Provincial District of Wellington second to none in fertility and importance, and of vastly increasing value owing to the near approach of the completion of the main line of railway through its midst.
The station property consists of 1639 ACRES FREEHOLD, AND 1010 ACRES LEASEHOLD, All laid down in English grass, and admitted to be as highly improved as any pasturage in the district. Also, The stock on the above, comprising 4200 sheep 200 cattle 4 horses The Auctioneer would draw attention to the fact that a large number of gentlemen in the Southern provinces have recently invested in station property in the Wairarapa, and that in all cases the investments have been proved to have been most remunerative. The 1639 acres of freehold are fenced and subdivided into two large and several smaller paddocks, and have on them woolshed, stockyards, sheep-yards, dwelling-house, and all the necessary appurtenances of a first-rate station.
