The Chrjsolite colt is very firm for the Leger at 6to 4. Chester is first favorite for Champagne Stakes ; Pride of the Hills for the Cup at 100 to 14. The Australian Blondin crossed the Middle Harbor on a rope privately on Thursday. He gives a public performance to-day. There is nothing of importance commercially.
The steamer Shales arrived at Cooktown from Hongkong yesterday, with five hundred Chinese. A case, supposed to be small-pox, is on board.
