BY TELEGRAPH. LYTTELTON. Wednesday. Sailed : Hawea, for the North, at 5.15 p.m. Passengers For Wellington: Mr. H. Millett. For Nelson : Miss Simson, Messrs. Gregg and Brown.— Colohri, brig, for Adelaide. GISBORNE, Wednesday, The schooner Clyde, of Auckland, Peterson, master, went-ashore-yesterday afternoon at the Maha. She was hound from Lyttelton to Auckland with produce. She will be.a total wreck. All hands were saved. PORT CHALMERS, Wednesday. Sailed : Wakatipn, for the North. Passengers for Wellington—Mesdames Cargill child and servant, Milligan, and Anderson. ' The Southern Cross arrived in harbor at half-p st 11 o’clock last night. She did not come up to the wharf, but anchored about half a mile off it. The Southern Cross comes from Auckland and East Coast ports, and has a Quantity of wool and taliow for the Rakaia. She will sail for Lyttelton to-morrow. • The" Tarama, from Sydney via the West Coast, had sot arrived in port when we went to press this morning. She was telegraphed as leaving Nelson at 2.20 p.m. yesterday. The Tarama will leave for Melbourne and Hobarton via the South to-morrow. Thes.s. Hawea will arrive here from the South today. She will sail North to-morrow. The s.s. Easby, from Newcastle and Sydney, arrived in port yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock, several days sooner than was anticipated, as the time of her departure was telegraphed- as the 17th, whereas she left three days before; Captain Anderson reports as follows:—Left Sydney at 11 a.m. on the 15th. Cleared the Beads at noon with N.E. wind, veering round by N;-to E-, thence 3. K blowing hard with heavy beam sea until the 19th : thence moderate easterly winds to Cape Farewell, which was made on the 26th at midnight, and through the Strait had light airs and calms UU arrival as above. The Easby has 100 tons general cargo for this port and 500 tons coal. She brings 32 tons general cargo for the South, whither she will sail on Friday at 10 a.m. The cutter Hero and the schooner Rose of Eden left for Pelorns Sound yesterday morning. The schooner Hose Anna Rose, which put in here on Tuesday, proceeded on her voyage to Dunedin at 2.30 p.m. yesterday, after receiving fresh provisions. The steamers Manawatu and Stormbird sailed for "Wanganui yesterday evening, the former at 8 o'clock and the latter at 7 o’clock. The Tul will sail for Kaikoura and Lyttelton this evening. ... ... j -Tie Rakaia has finished the discharge of her inward cargo, turning it out in excellent condition. She has taken on board a quantity of wool, and will be despatched, it is ahtiopated, by her advertised date. The s.s. Wellington proceeded on her Northern trip 6 o’clock yesterday morning. . . The steamer Napier it was expected would arrive in harbor this morning from Foxton, but had not done ao when’we went to press. She is advertised to, return to Fdxton in the evening. The brigantine Anthons finished discharging cargo yesterday. She will sail probably during the week for Lyttelton, where she will load either for Melbourne cr Sydney.
